summary of “The Hot Zone” part 1

The Hot Zone is about the Ebola Virus, a deadly virus that is highly contagious and kills 90% of people that get it even with extensive medical care. There is no cure, and no vaccine for this deadly infectious creature. The only known source of the virus is Kitum Cave, on Mount Elgon in Africa, deep in the tall rain forest. The first known case is of Charles Monnet, a researcher living in Africa, and he spreads it by getting on a plane and going to a hospital. There he infects a doctor named Dr. Musoke, who then gets a surgery and it fails to treat the deadly disease. 10 days later he magically recovers and no one knows why. But then, in Sudan, an entire town breaks out with the virus and the military tries to contain it.

Then, Nancy Jaax, a bio hazard researcher gets exposed to the virus but doesn’t get it, and a military containment center finds out that the virus can travel through the lungs by placing an infected monkey in a cage 50 feet away from a healthy monkey in a cage, and the healthy monkey starts to bleed, its eyes turn a ruby red, and it starts to go crazy as its brain liquefies. After that, a group of researchers go to Mount Elgon, to search Kitum Cave for any sign of the virus, but strangely none of the test animals had any trace of the virus. You’ll have to read the book to find out the end!

the biggest issue faced by teens is teenage pregnancy. too many teens are getting pregnant from unprotected sex. and to make it even worse theres too much drama on who the father is, and whats ging to happen to the baby. i knew a pregnant chick in 8th grade. she was 12 and got an abortion. said it was the most painfull thing she ever had to do. killing a part of her. just nevermind this alright? this story gets a little bad, and depressing and id rather not talk about it. another person i know died overdosing on alcahol cause she was pregnant and thought her parents would kill her. she died anyways. and i couldnt help at all… ok thats all im going to say before i break down and i dont feel like doing that in school so bye.

Stickers.

A cartoon about a family of stick people that live their everyday lives. I know people will watch it…. Just look at reality T.V. nowadays anyways.

In the first episode the dad will go to work, then come home. And the son will go to school and come home. And the mom will be at home making dinner for the kids. The daughter will also be at school. And finally the grandfather will visit like he does every week, and they will have a huge bbq with the entire neighborhood!

The main character is grilly, a talking grill. Other characters include bill Clinton, the father, megan fox, the mother, joker, the eldest son, and babyface, the youngest. This is the most useless assignment ever and I can’t think of anything else to say.

the things i like about the fall are… i dont really know honestly. I just take life as it comes. i dont even make plans farther than 5 days. fall actually sucks. honestly if you think about it it just ends summer, it starts winter, it just stops all the fun. i hate fall.

oakleaf is a nice place. got changed from awesome web design to this class though :/ i wanted to stay. I took this class last year. but its whatever! ummm. i like the lunch system, and i love the food.schedule is cool. and thats about it!
